Our recommended strategy for obtaining the highest price is utilizing the auction format on eBay. The vast majority of items we intake are listed online in auction format.
Consignors will attain the highest price for their item when an auction format is selected with a low starting bid price. Reserve prices are discouraged as they typically frustrate bidders who may abandon the auction. Please see our “Low Down” tab for more details.
eBay/Paypal and Amazon collect a 12% sales fee that will be subtracted from the final selling price.
When an item(s) is listed in auction format and sells, consignor must agree to accept final sales price for an auctioned item(s). Once an item(s) has live bids, it cannot be removed from an auction website. It may take up to 30 days, from when your item(s) is listed, to receive payment for your sold item(s). Customer has 30 days to pick up their unsold item(s) after being contacted by SellUrStuff.com or it will be donated to the charity of SellUrStuff.com's choice. The relationship between SellUrStuff.com and the Seller is that of bailor and bailee in which the bailee (Seller) deposits his personal property (Goods) with the bailor (SellUrStuff.com) for the purpose of listing and selling the Goods to third parties through eBay. Nothing contained herein will be construed as creating any agency, partnership, or other form of joint enterprise between the parties.
